Please Help Me Find This Car

I have some video some video footage of it running somewhere. I will try to see if I can find it. The engine was bought from a Porsche racing team. I can tell you first hand that this is an extremely quick car. And the sound of the exhaust is awsome. It has a tone of Mclaren F1 parts on it as one of his friends worked for Mclaren during the time they were being built. Anything that didn't pass the spec got a shot at being put on this car. The biggest obstacle he came across was getting the Porsche transmission to work as the linkage was upside down.
To answer the question as to why he sold the car. Well, unfortunatly he had a heart attack that left him with some finacial problems and later took his life. This was the last car he built before he died. Nick was my Dads best friend and I would like the opportunity to purchase this car and give it to my father as a gift.

I hope my sons turn out as nice to there Dad, as you are to yours. Now they're in the the total Ass faze [Teenagers].

I have no idea where it is, but as no-one has popped up yet with any knowledge of it's whereabouts (despite appearances, you can go a long time here in the UK before you ever see a '40 or even a Cobra which are far more prolific) my bet is that it's been laid up in a lock-up somewhere)If you remember the reg no. could it not be traced that way, at least to the last recorded owner?

Do you have any pictures of it that show the number plate in readable form?

If so a request to DVLA in Swindon may turn up the current owner.

I don't recall seeing a Porsche engined car on the club database, but as per previous posts, if you know the reg number, that would help.

Those photos were taken the day it was first taken for a test drive. The plates on the car are my Uncles dealer plates, so this will not help.

a Q plate is not a dealer plate but more likeley a kit car plate?

Craig,
I beleive Chris is correct on this. If I remember correctly, Q stands for Query and they are non-transferrable hinting that it could not be a dealer plate.

Just out of curiosity I looked up this thread. Hard to beleive that its been three years since I posted the original thread and no one was able to locate or ever see this car in all that time.
I sure hope its still around somewhere.
