Beautiful, Ron - but WAY too much tread on those rear tyres !!!

I suspect that solution is sitting more or less between them !!

Kind Regards,

Peter D.

Great job on those headers Ron. Keep up the good work. Your posts are motivating. When doyou think you'll be able to put the pedal to the metal?

Hey Ron, I make the original battery cover if you want to cover up the battery.

How much$$$ Bill? I would like to cover the battery.

Fran,Rob,Bill D,Peter D,Vaughn: THanks for the great comments!!!
The tires on there are only until I get the car somewhat "sorted"
then Hoosier race rubber will replace them!

Here are a couple of pics of the plug that we use to make the battery cover that RCR has....
(a copy of this months Vintage Motorsports just to show the scale...)

This is a Mk1 cover as the Mk2 does not carry its battery in the engine bay..
The smaller pic below is used by a well known restoration shop for their original cars....

Just to clarify...original Mk2's do not carry their battery in the engine bay...
We do however, have a provision for the battery in the engine bay of the RCR Mk2 should it be required.

Here is a few more. I found a set of original looking tail lights for it on Ebay.I need to rewire them though.
Also a shot of the re-engineered tail attachment/hinge mechanism.

Damn Ron! Your car is so awesome looking! I hope to see it in person someday.

Where did you get your water reservoir?

Cheers

Ron - Superb job all around...

Are you planning on installing a Wiper Motor? Which motor / arm are you planning on using. I noticed that the wiper arm boss is still in the original RHD location.

Thanks!

Ron, the car looks superb - you must be so close now !

I am intrigued by the coolant setup - I guess that the big pipe into the elec w/p is the input, but where do the 2 smaller (output ?) pipes go ?

Also, the valve setup on the other side looks very purposeful, but what does it do ?

All in all, it makes my setup look like something out of a Model T !!!

Kind Regards,

Peter D.
