In the begining, yadah, yadah, yadah. Okay so I have a little humor. I ordered a RCRP4 site unseen. OMFG! I know it was beautiful but "Schwing!" My brother accused me of sending him porno in the middle of the day.
What do you think?

Are you going for street legal in Texas? Will you register it as a pre-1986 model to get around emmissions?

O.K a little encouragement from across the pond.
That is dedication to the coarse. You are one driven individual. Good luck with the project. Looks fantastic.
I agree with the porn comment.

Update, sorry no pictures yet. I have been promising the wife that I will not touch the car until the garage is cleaned up. So with a couple of bucks in hand I got a sh-load of those Glad boxes from the grocery store and have organized my old stuff. I had to rush move stuff with this building that has been going on and now I am ready to get to work. 1st on my task list is to inventory the stuff that came with the car. I know that you all have had stuff back ordered. I guess I will lay out some of that stuff and get some photos done to night. And just for you guys (and ladies!) I will crack open the bonnet and see what lies inside!

Cam, I decided to stick with a stock LS-7 with some beautification and tuning. I am even going to go with stock headers and add some high flow cats to reduce noise and maybe satisfy the street legal beagles. at an estimated 550 HP it would be the same HP to weight that the 66 Can-Am series the red cars ran.

Hi Marc

just realised that you are from Gravepine TX. I used to work in FWT in 95. In my freetime i spend a lot of time with a guy who does motorcycle drag racing and land speed racing. His name is JON MINNONO and at that time he was #1 plate holder in the pro modified of IDBA. He also hold multiple records in Boneville. His workshop used to be at Weaver Street ( exit Minnis Drive from 121). We used to have regular contact until his wife passed away a few years ago. May be you know him. He was a pretty famous texan rider in the 70´s when he raced against Pual Stephenson, Wes cooley and others of that time.
He still holds the record for the fastest open wheel triumph at over 260 mph
Here is a picture of him from the 80´s ( He is the small guy with dark hair)

He used to be affiliated with ed mabry racing
here he is on the record setting triumph

I would look for new informations to get in contact with him, may be you can help

Sorry for the thread drift

Very nice Marc!

You might want to invest in a billet side plate for the Porsche transaxle with that LS7.

Great "spy" photos....

Marc,
Your car is going to be very cool! It already looks amazing!

If any of you Texas guys are interested in some track time at Motorsoprt Ranch in Cresson, my friend John Holmes is the President of Apex Driving Academy. Apex Driving Academy
He is VERY into cars like these and will be happy to hook you up!

Motorsports Ranch is a very nice facility with two tracks (can be connected into one). I plan on doing some running there when the car is done.
