As you can tell from my open well preference, I am pretty nostalgic. Don't know why, but this one reminds my of the old Chaparral. I love those cars!
I have been fighting the urge to get back into a race car. Open wheel is my preference... but I think closed wheel fits my age better. I have been looking at a Spec Racer Ford with the new engine. The new Arrow has my interest. SCCA possibilities?
Do you mean that one in the photo LBCportagee posted....or the Beck product? (I guess it's possible they could both be Becks...?)
But, then, there's always the possibility that your friend Kevin has his own 904 product?
If it's now being made in the USA, that's GREAT. I thought Beck had relocated to Brazil, but that's a long way away and things can and do go wrong on orders, so I'm sure there are a lot of happy dances going on if the 904 is being built here by your friend.
Chuck is in the Atlanta area (continuing with design work) ,and Kevin is building the 904 in Indiana. Special Editions, inc. is a loose partnership between Chuck Beck and Kevin Hines.
Chuck recently had an Espada engine laying around, and built a motorcycle using a VW GTI Automatic gearbox.
Sorry not a chance, to achieve the aero packaging and airflow the cockpit is only large enough for one occupant.
Current Le Mans cars are not two seaters either btw
