rear hub castle nut?

Per Fran, the nuts are 36mm. I don't have them for my car, but am also looking for a source. One car I've seen only used two small nuts and no pin, so I'm not sure that a cotter pin is required.

I got 2 small nuts from the factory and was able to wedge a cotter pin through the hole. No castle nut here....

If its for the Corvette stub, the thread would be M24x1.5 and 36mm A/F across the hex torqued to 118 lbs/ft
( M24 x 1.5 is very similar to 15/16" 16 UN and not to be confused!! )

Hi All

If you are using Corvette Rear Stub Axles you can use Subaru axle castle nuts as they are the same size and thread.

I have them on my 40 so I know they work.

Hi all

If you want to use castle nuts and if you need spacer washers go to your local wrecking yards and get the nuts and washers of Subaru front axles as they are 36mm.

I have used these on my 40 which has Corvette axles.
