Repack silencer, what noise reduction?

I went to Croft for one of their 105dba days on Saturday. I failed the static noise test big time - 113dba.
I took the back off the silencers and NO PACKING. There was Acoustafil in there when I put the engine back together earlier this year but in the 1600 miles since then it has been completely destroyed!
So Acoustafil lasted slightly over 2 years in my (GTD) silencers.
It is the tail pipe end of my silencers that are removable, so it is possible that when I checked earlier this year the packing near the inlet had already been destroyed and I was just seeing last remaining bit at the end.
Time for a repack on my part but also worth checking your packing/noise level before a wasted trip to a track day!

Dave, I feel for you mate, I know how I would have felt! I did 1200 miles total on my Goodwood trip so I will open up and see what's left. I had noticed a fine deposit of what might be Acoustafil on the chassis which might indicate a leak so I need to check that too.
