Didnt lift a spanner since mid OCT just to busy.
Over Christmas I sent the wife to work & I spent a full 10 days on the car.
No phones no customers, you can get a lot done.
the first day I finished of the L/H fuel tank.
That was were I got to in OCT.
I put 2 sets of trap doors in the tanks that close of under brakes & hold the fuel up in the rear of tank.
If need be I will put foam in but I am trying to avoid it. Less servicing.
The fuel pumps are all in tank.3 pumps.
Fitted up the front brakes( brembos) 330mm disks with alloy hats.

I made the radiator (alloy core)2 row.
Fitted the condenser ,Made all pipes ect mounted fans bla bla.
I spent a lot of time looking hoping the front clip will close.
She ill be f*****g right was the end result of all the looking.
Mounted resivoires for brakes under front cover , I am trying to keep it clean around the front.

Looks good. I like your brake and AC setup. I also like the hatch over the steering rack. I've been thinking of doing a small hatch above my fuse panel.

Thanks Mark yes I think the cover is probably going to be more practical on a day to day basis.
I have to be honest when I told my wife I wasnt going back to the 16th she was a bit pissed.

I own RF 076. I have been working on it for a couple of years.
I have fitted an Audi 4.2L V8 (4ohc 40valve variable this and that 320HP 400n/m) +Audi 016 3Vgearbox
I purchased a fly by wire throttle for the engine from Hunter City Auto Group today and dealt with a GT40 fan by the name of Jason who gave me your contact details.
Coincidentally I have been a regular visitor to your contributions to this forum.

I own RF 076. I have been working on it for a couple of years.
I have fitted an Audi 4.2L V8 (4ohc 40valve variable this and that 320HP 400n/m) +Audi 016 3Vgearbox

RF105 upgrade parts
I didn’t know if I should post in for sale, the RF owners site or whatever with this but I figure it is work done to 105 so I will put it here.
Things don’t look like it has moved that much on the car over the last few months mainly since the Lose of RF.
With 105 there were some areas that I was not happy with & this is a personnel taste thing so none of this is to offend anyone least of all Robert Logan or staff at RF as I understand there are budget restrictions , ease of manufacture ect ect.
My post is on the items that I have concentrated on over the last few months.
A lot of time has gone into these components some are being tested currently in a road going RF.
All these parts are for sale as all the hard yards have been done.
I see these as an upgrade option.

Firstly I took out my pedal box & threw it away.
I remade the frame because I found it to be a pain in the arse to hook a throttle cable to.
I found because the inner side panel next to the throttle runs at an angle it is not an easy job to bring the cable in & hook onto the pedal.
I didn’t think it would be that bigger deal but it was.
The new assembly has a bell crank with a Teflon wheel that runs of the back of the pedal.
The cable mounts above the box & is attached to the end of the bell crank.

Also incorporated closed & full throttle stops.

The suspension adjustment for wheel alignment purposes I found was not easy as it requires you to remove the through bolts on the rose joints to make any adjustments.
This meant while on the wheel aligner removing the aligner jacking the car to take the bolts out & make an adjustment, put it all back & if its not right do it all again.
This was made worse by me sheeting the front completely.
I remade the lower rear arms ,rear links & upper front arms all with adjustment.
The arms have 4140 tube nuts going into the rear of the rose joints.
You don’t even have to jack the car.
The arms are raw in pics im going to silver zink & debritalize.

Made the shifter in general it turned out ok but I thought it looked a bit bulky.
Put one into another RF owners car & with a few small mods it sharpened the shift up in a big way.
The design allows for sifting across the gate to be on the same axis as the stick pivot.
The only problem is it fliped the gate, 1st ended up in 2nd 3rd ended up were 4th is.
It could be rectifyed at the rear but it would have ment remaking it.
I ended up refinning it anyway & trimmed it down.
The alternative was to make a shifter with a reverse action.
What it does is when you push forward the shift tube moves back.
But it still allows it to rotate though the centre axis.
All 316ss .
