Rufus GT-R

I would also be interested but I have been asking for just a replacement set of side windows for a while now and nothing yet from RCR may have to try and make them myself

Guys,

see the email from Fran. No price and not available.

"the company that makes the windows for the gtr for us cannot offer tint at this time due to supplier issues

I am checking ito an alternate solution.

Rufus I was thinking if you roll a sheet of metal to the radius of the window I think you could take a tinted piece of Lexan and put it in an oven at say 375 degrees I believe it would fall right to the shape of the metal template

I haven't put in my windows for several months. If raining, not going out in the race car. If too cold, not going out in the race car. The heater in these things are pretty amazing. I have some more foam to seal the cockpit, but it stays toasty when desired.

Finally finished consulting project and the car is finished except for the finish interior. Interior is scheduled for August first install. I will post a few pictures of interest.

More pictures of painting in process. Bought an inflatable booth and did the work in my driveway. Had to wait on cooler weather as the heat can get too high in the booth causing problems.

Looks good! I have been planning on buying basically the same inflatable booth when I’m ready to repaint my Street Rod and C10 pickup truck. Any issues other than the greenhouse effect?

Next was to make the air intake tunnels that connect the upper clam scoops through the upper wheel well liner (from H) to the transitions. Made the transitions using a plastic container I found that worked perfectly. Bonded the wheel well liners to the rear clam after cutting holes for the air to pass through. Closed the clam and located the transitions on top of the stock Ford GT air cleaner and screwed them in place. Made cardboard patterns for the tunnels connection the wheel liner to the transitions. Made a mold to make the tunnel blanks then cut the tunnels to the patterns and bonded it all together.

Cut and bonded 3/16" AL plates to the clam where the lift struts attach to spread the load as not to distort the rear clam.
Hey Rufus,
Could you tell me where the tunnels lead to (where is the air intake that feeds into the stock air cleaner)? Thanks!

As the new owner/caretaker of Rufus' build I can say that the nostril scoops on the upper rear clamshell
