Safety wire 101

Hi guys,

I spent all day yesterday going to school in Lloyd Butfoy's shop, tearing down a ZF and partially rebuilding it (it's a good two-day job if done to the Nth degree). While I was there he showed me the most remarkable example of safety-wiring buffoonary I've ever seen!

I did the one on the left. Somebody else did the one on the right.... :stunned:

No, Mike you just don't get it. The idea is that when all the bolts come out, they're all tied together so you don't have to go looking for them.

Remember the more you try to "idiot-proof" something, the more you cause idiots to develop! There are better ones in the field and you will NEVER work around them!
