Schumacher future..

I really dunno why all this mess around Michael.
Journalist talk about him as if a 80 yrs old pilot...he is still the best driver in that strange forumla 1 circus...and more, he is loved in Italy as never before.
Seem all wants him to go away from formula one world..he seems not convinced at all (and really sad today in TV).
What the hell are they doing there?.
Schumy is 37 yrs old, he needed a little period to be loved also by people (maybe for his shy behaviour) but NOW he is too loved here, and SURELy the best driver ever.
Also his "Germanness" here is so loved and appreciated by all:) and more..he is the MAIN author of the reborn of today Ferrari (that otherwise will had the same destiny of Lotus and Tyrrell)

Is ugly to see such bullsh** after nice events as Moto GP and GP2 race.

Really curious to see what will happen today after monza race.

Hi Paolo

There is interesting speculation in the media that Michael is being pushed out by the executives at Fiat/Ferrari for some "young blood". The post race celebration certainly indicated a chill in the air as Luca Di Montezemolo was almost avoided by Michael and seemed desperate to get a "happy face" photo with him.
I would not be surprised if there is more to all this than meets the eye.

That'd be something to see!! I'm sure he could drive it, no problem, but not sure he could make it through the public relations for success, fights with other drivers, bumping, grinding, and all the other stuff that makes up NASCAR. Be something to see though....

Veek,
I agree, the commentation seemed to rather strongly speculate this didn't it. I am curious to see how Ferrari performs next year with out him. Is it the man or the machine???? If Massa starts running more consistently up front next season, then the speculation that his car was always better prepped will be cleared up too.

Bottom line Paolo.. I agree.... the winningest driver Ferrari has ever had...why are they pushing him out? One has to ask, what has gone on behind the scenes to create such anymosity where one would think there would be great commorodory. Neither Ferrari nor Shumi could have done it with out the other. My basement is painted Ferrari red with a 5' banner on the wall, so I don't bash the "Red" easily.....but..what the heck are they doing!

Ciao

I am not so sure, I think its his decision, I cant imagine Schumy being the type that would still enhoy racing past his own "sell by date" or a number 2, I know technically thats a way off yet, but I think he wants to go whilst he is at the top.

To me the speculation ended when I saw Massa equalling and bettering his times earlier in the season, thats gotta hurt, when dished out by a relative youngster, even if there was a bit of luck involved. But it would have never been the case a couple of years ago.

From what I have heard he will still be involved with Ferrari, whether thats just spin I dont know.

Nothing lasts forever.........

I don't really care where he goes. IMHO he will go down in history as one of the most unsporting drivers in history if not an outright cheat.

I think for me he will go down as one of the most boring champions both on and off the track, no reflection on his skill but he just I cant think of anything hes done that will go down in History. (other than all the records)
Not like Senna in the wet at Donnington 5 places one lap, Clark sideways in a Mk1 Cortina totally on the limit, Mansell charging through the field as though the rest were going backwards.

You either have "it" or don't, I think in ten years time Schumy will be remembered on a par with Hakkinen. Good driver blah blah blah.....

eheheh guys:)

C'mon..surely Michael is THE winning pilot of this era (also because probably he has no real enemies and they all are SO different from the pilots we all like..)
Surely no way to compare him and...for example..Fangio's championships of the past.

Add to this that Schiumy is always so unkindly in appearence (cause so shy person...confirmed by all the guys working with him).
Also when he wins..with his jumps..his smiles....mah...u see that there is something "forced" in being that way.
Probably its just him (think for example at motogp heroes...)..probably its all Formula 1 world, ...but as Enzo Ferrari uses to say for cars (also if the car is ugly..when it wins..becomes wonderful),also schumy comes so loved cause he is a winner:D
For Ferrari he surely has been the myth..cause saved the factory from the sad decline they had in early 90's.

Maybe he also will be 8 times world champion...and I suspect nobody else will beat his rekords (but because I think THIS formula one cannot survive for other 8 years..).

Just I wonder why this strange Formula one business system decides he has to retire (or maybe he is simply too bored and full of Ferrari...ahaha..we will see..).
My thoughts are for living legends Mario Andretti..always racing...in every serie available (unless family says STOP risk Mario !!!....u are too old:))
Mario was always there..and always so terribly fast (remember when i saw him in 1982 Monza GP..after Gilles death...he never drove the car before..he arrived 2nd;-)
He is the "real" italian pilot....and youngs probably neither dunno who is him today.
Unfortunately..seems no more Marios are available for modern F1...

What a difference from that 1978 formula one championship won in Monza in one of the worst days of motorsport (as 1st may 1994)...

Paolo:)
