You insult so many Americans and space enthusiasts with that comment, one can only deduce the writer of such a comment is just too full of his own self importance, shame.

I guess the Pilgrim Fathers and their generation could have said something similar nearly 400 years ago.

I would go in a second. Even if I knew I would not return. Blue oval, Humans will always disagree about priorities but what we spend on NFL football is enough money to explorer a great deal of the solar system, if not with human missions then with a robust and large scale robotic program.

We are at a point where we really don't know what we will learn but certain to increase scientific knowledge immensely and at the same time capable of doing a great deal if only enough people would/could focus on great things instead of modern family.

I find it sad that so few people can grasp the historic imagination of people like carl Sagan, This just might be THE social and economic issue of or times.
