How many of you have seen the Hagerty commerical where some owner of a classic collectable car (early XKE, splite window Corvette coupe, '65 GT350, or Aston Martin DB4, Porsche 911) standing by his car talking about his dream car that isn't what he is driving?
Just look at the latest "hyper" cars: Ferrari the Ferrari, 918, P1, etc. They're all hybrids. The next generation of normal sports cars will all be boosted and hybrid powered. It's just the way it's gonna be, and that sucks!
I don't care for the hybrid approach. They are then saddled with the complexity of both systems. Hand to Ford they did not complicate things with the new FGT by adding an electric component to the drivetrain.
The all electric while missing some of the soul of a piston powered vehicle, brings an aspect of mechanical simplicity that is very attractive to me. Simplicity is art.
