Christopher Columbus said the world was round everybody else, everybody, said it was flat and waved goodbye as he sailed to his doom (towards you guys I think).25 years ago I hired a guy who drove me crazy he did not last long before I sacked him, however before he went he actually taught me how to use a paint brush properly when laminating fibreglass,if you knew how much time that has saved me in the last 25 years of car building then you would know how grateful I am to him.
Gentlemen if you learn one small thing from Oliver then be grateful, because you will meet a lot of people in your lifetime who will pass on zilch to you.
Oliver is still on the forum. tenacious isn't he ? he is taking a lot more than he is giving and I dont recall seeing a post from him asking for any members dismissal.
Hang in there Oliver when all this $h!t clears we will all be talking cars again.

I have chosen to read this thread. When it comes up there is Mark's initial posting. I scroll to the bit where you click "Page 1" "Page 2" or "show all". I clicked show all and yet her bikini remained on!

Denis, if memory serves me correctly, you have supported Oliver in the past. That is your right and I have no problem with that or you. In fact I have no quarrel with Oliver or anyone else on the forum. However, I don't believe my above post warranted being called a "clown". It pretty much shows the maturity level of Oliver. Despite being warned by Ron to behave, he hasn't. He further advised that he won't. Not only did he call me a clown but shortly after that he posted another useless and inflaming post on the thread looking to compile RF part numbers. Did you read it? His actions are pretty much a slap in the face to Ron. You are right when you state you will meet many in this lifetime who will teach you "zilch". I was taught that you can learn something from the bum off the street and not to judge a book by its cover. Sorry, but I haven't seen anything useful from Oliver other than his DVD offer. The fact remains that this site was developed by Ron for the enjoyment of all. Ron has set certain rules of conduct which he would like ALL to abide by. This includes Oliver. I don't think asking forum members to act civilly towards one another is too much to ask. I don't believe Oliver measures up. I have not asked Ron to remove him from the forum. I don't think I have to. It is clear from Oliver's behavior that he does not respect Ron's wishes or the rules of the forum and I believe that he will be removed. I disagree with your statement that Oliver has taken more than he has received. Oliver feels the need to reply to most of the threads, generally with useless inflamatory /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/flamer.gif posts. It does appear to me that Oliver can not take what he serves. Your last sentence states the current problem. We should be discussing cars NOW, not after the dust settles because of Oliver and his inability to act like an adult and follow the rules. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/twocents.gif I will await the name calling.

I have sitting back not saying much in regards to the contents to this thread. There have been moore positive threads than the negitive. When I refered to the "Clown" comment it was directed to those that were instructed not to responde if you don't like what I have to say. And than I read "Gregg comment" about being a "bum" ect..ect. This is another rightous comment claiming that I have nothing to contribute and then starts name calling. Gregg! if you have read all of the threads the majority has been about RF and those who support the individuals that were resposible for the failure of the company and lost deposits. Yes I have said negitive comments to other individuals but mostly in retaliation for what they either posted or sent me a nasty private Pm.
Now! As for conduct. Yes we are exspected to act in a "NICE" manor ...But please...Live in the real world. Part of the problem from what I see is most indivduals try to be as professional as possible not making waves "tippi toeing" around what they really feel so they don't hurt people's feelings.
Fine!I used to be that way! You don't know my History but I can promise you it ranked very high in the corporate world. Than one day I said "Screw it" and walked away and Went into the private sector. Since then I don't play the games people do and "I call it like I see it". "It works" Yes you hurt people's feelings somtimes. But that's ok. It's the real world. So simply if you don't like me... Ignore me...Period. It is evident that there are alot of people in this forum that like what I say and most likly wish they can say certain thing themselfs. But don't.. they will wait for me to post them or e-mail me asking me to post a thread .. and let me take the heat.So if what I post bother's you don't read what I post. If you do read it, don't re-post with how you don't like what I say call me a "bum" and act rightous in doing so. It puts you on the same level but your trying to be professional about it and make you look dumb.

Oliver, why are you on this forum at all? You have plainly stated that it is not to make friends or to have a pleasant exchange of any sort. I have yet to see any useful technical information in any of your comments. As you stated in another thread, you believe that unfinished or broken RF's have no future and as I understand it, it is an unfinished RF that you have. So in your mind you have a GT40 with no future and nothing technical to contribute and no desire to socialize. You're not even here to have a decent argument because you immediately insult anyone who opposes you. Why are you here? Just curious.

Incidentally, I have known a few people in the private sector who profited by being abusive to everyone. It usually works for a short while but eventually they burn out everyone around them and then have no good will left in the kitty when it all starts to go wrong.

Chris, you expect too much. Oliver's posts always reveal something about himself. Right now I am wondering how old he is. According to his bio, he is an ITT grad in 1986. That should put him at 22 years old. Another 22 years in private sector makes him 44 and theoretically the year 2008. His actions are not indicative of a mature 44 year old. I am wondering how much "time" he spent in the "corporate world" much less obtaining any "high ranking."

Oliver one very simple explanation of how you can own whatever it is that you do own is inheritance. As far as doing something "wright", you have chosen to reply to posts which are not directed towards you. My previous post was addressed to Denis. Yes, you may have been the subject of same, but I did not ask anything of you. You on the other hand felt compelled to reply with your usual insult. Perhaps you can limit your replies to those who solicit them. I know Chris has a question for you. Or perhaps you can limit your posts and exchanges to those forum members who email you in secret. Just an observation.

What I find amazing is that you seem to have answered everyone's post except the one that was directed to you. Surely it’s not a difficult question. Why are you here? There are a multitude of threads posing this exact question and most people have an interesting personal story that they are happy to tell. What is your story Oliver? Is it a secret? Are you here for a reason other than GT40s? Be brave. Don't be frightened to tell it like it is... that is your motto in life isn't it?
