I used to rant on on this site though it seemed to cause one or two of the paddock brethren nightmares. I hardly can be bothered these days and leave all the vitreol to Keith. He's better at it anyway.

I think that was made back in July Pete and she's already left the station. It was pretty much a right wing broadcaster anyway and I don't believe they had an issue with her - she just moved on.
I used to enjoy your rants David, proper indignant stuff it were. As for me, I've retired from ranting - there didn't seem to be any future in it and to be an Angry Young Man these days, one has to be at least, er, young anyway.

One of the things I least like about America (the innate ability to ridicule and demean one's opponent simply because of belief, and the hell with facts), is probably the same attitude/ability that what will save us in regards to the overbearing Islamic wave that seems to be swelling. In other words, I'm guessing Joe Blow ain't not gonna put up with the same shit that Europe is dealing with today.
He's put up with 'p.c.' for at least the last 30 years...so, I'm not too sure about that.
If this were the e-a-r-l-y 1960s or before, I'd agree with you. But, not today. Joe Blow, Joe Six-pack, and "the average man on the street" are not who they used to be. Sadly. :shifty:
I like her for being clear and easily understood - and also for speaking her mind. At 22 she's very young and perhaps wise beyond her years, but the "bring it to them full force" part of her rant was a bit much. Life and war is not a video game. Bullets, bombs, missiles and fire are nothing to just "stand tough" to.. I do agree that we're spending too much tim pussy-footing around, but by the same token I have continually asked over the years - why is it America's (really the western countries) to be the big brother to the world?
I'd love to see us spend more time getting our own house in order, but that's another subject.

Bingo. and the over the top "You're safer in the Middle East than here" was just nonsense.
I fully agree ISIS should be wiped off the face of the planet. And people here in the US, regadrless of creed, who engage in senseless gun violence, punished.
But that should never be used to justify hate of an entire race or religion.

I do think Europe and particularly Germany are going to have massive problems with the economic refugees they have allowed to enter.
