USA motorsports television coverage

If the current races were not enough the "Clasic" races are the worst - the infomercials are actully some of their best programming.

Lets face it, Nascar appeals to the poor,
huddled masses of tobacco chewing rednecks
that make up the majority of race fans in this country.
Until another race organization,IRL,CART,
SCCA,etc, markets their races,teams, and
drivers like NASCAR has,we're completely screwed.
Hopefully Speedvision will not gain a large
market share of NASCAR fans, lose interest, and get back to some real racing!
Sadly, what it all boils down to, is that there is more space for sponsor's stickers on stock cars. $$$$$$$$$$$$ talks!

Hey Now,

I'm one of those poor Southern Rednecks, but I don't like NASCAR. I smoke occasionally too - but don't chew. It is a shame that Speed Vision has changed focus, I used to like to see things like Sprint Boat racing, air races, etc. But I'm afraid those days are gone...

The topic on the Cobra Ferrari wars brought something to mind. As anyone else as upset about the NASCARization of Speed Vision (cum Channel)as I am???

Despite all of our petitions and emails, Fox has, albeit more slowly than it might have otherwise done it, turned a channel, where we could see all of the rest of the motorsports world, into a NASCAR channel with some other stuff, occasionally. It really gripes my buttocks! - Lynn
