Weddle Transaxle

Thanks Ray, this proves it can be done. As I am building a monocogue representing the original FAV, it would be great to get the external dimensions of the ZF SD25D2 transaxle as well as it's mounting point dimensions. I want to compare it to the Weddle transaxle dimensions to understand what would need doing to alter the monocogue to fit the HV25 as this may be the way I may be going. Thanks for your insights.

RBT used to have a dimensioned drawing on their website, but the site is mostly empty now. I know there is a thread here with the drawing posted you can search for.

Kevin,
Why not just use a ZF Transaxle?

Glad to be of some help, Kevin…

Searched further (“RBT drawing”) and came up with this topic, as Rick mentioned:

Help mating zf and dart block!!

Am currently “w/o a Car” unless you count a modern Mustang, (which “is a terrible car..!” as
someone once said!) so no ‘40 here (yet!)…

In the meantime, following along these transaxle threads has been very educational.
So, thanks to You for asking the right questions and also thanks to Those Who Answer those questions
and save lots of leg-work! …Very very helpful and much appreciated.
