Where do you get your flywheels?

If you're bolting a porsche gear box to an LS engine, where do you buy your flywheels? I am assuming it is the size of a porsche flywheel with a chevy crank bolt pattern.

Is Kennedy the go to company for this?

Got my flywheel/clutch/pressure plate and starter from Kennedy Engineering.
Perfect! Pilot bearing included. Real bear removing the LS one.

Thanks,

I'll give them a call tomorrow. I'm not 100% sure what I even have! I think it is a G97/50. The stamped numbers on the bottom start with G9750 so I guess that's what I have.

Is there a way to tell if it has a LSD?

Dean, grab an output flange....turn clockwise....if the other output flange turns clockwise as well (from where you're standing) then it's got an LSD. If it rotates the other direction then it's an open diff.

Flywheel should look something like this--( Fran should be able to provide all this info, I would've thought ??)

Dean

Give Fran a call for all those parts ( flywheel, clutch, starter) he has done the adaptation already.

As for LSD. the first digit after the 50 is denoting the differential. G97501.... is without LSD, G97502 is with LSD.

High likely it is a 1, because the new turbos are usually not equipped with LSD.

For this Guard transmission is providing a nice Auto Bias Lock up diff whci i would recommand, because it is completly open going into the turn ( thus not further supporting understear) and locks up depending on loadtransfer accelerating out of the turn.

THanks
TOM
