RCR's Next car should be.....

Not to rain on your parade, but that would be absolutely impossible. Example: look at the windscreen on an SLC vs GT40.

I think it could be possible. There would have to be different sub-frames to support different window shapes and sizes.

Look at this example: C5 Corvette

A torque tube, rear engine chassis could provide all the torsional stiffness in an exceptionally compact design. Just an idea!

So it would be a front engine GT40, SLC, P40, etc?

I understand the basic idea that you're talking about, but it would still be impossible. You'd be stuck with a wheelbase and track width that may work with one car, but would look extremely awkward with any other car you'd set on the torque tube chassis.

Buying separate chassis and sub assemblies is like buying entirely different cars. So in other words, impossible and/or WAY TOO expensive.

Me and Ryan suggest the Maclaren M6GT, the car was never given a chance and everyone deserves a second chance, something to think about !!
we are prepare for the RCR40 arrival the garage is all cleaned and ready

M6GT

thats a good idea! About 6 years ago I did the ultimate barn find on an original factory built Manta Mirage, basically a Mclaren M8 replica. Built in 1980, driven 1400 miles, then left for 20+ years. I acquired it and did a full restoration on it. VW front suspension, trailing arm rear, flipped corvair 4 spd, and an original LT-1 350 (although I could never decipher if it came from a vette or camaro), original turbine wheels and knock offs in perfect condition, and original bfg tires from 1980 with nubs on them still. Even front air shocks with on board compressor for a rude front air lift system! I was told it was the best example left of a true original parts Manta Mirage and while my plans were big to make new suspension for it and toss in a 930 transaxle, I ended up not having the heart to cut it up. I drove it one block though when finished and the suspension and brakes was so lackluster, car went on ebay the next day! I am sure something from Fran would'nt disappoint like that! Attached a couple pics.
It was still in the original polished out black gelcoat and was able to mask off the pinstriping while rebuffing.

If I had to choose a car though for an idea for Fran, it would have to be the Porsche 962. Street legal ofcourse. :)
That Bentley LMP car though would just be an awesome sight too.

I would still buy one of these today!
This was originally built with a Corvette V8 power!
Seems like a perfect addition to RCR's classic race car line.

beautiful car, absolutely right a new version of the car would be extraordinary exceptional with Fran's modern technology

That Bizz is beautiful! But I'm afraid there would be no way I would fit in a car like that (Height!!!). I love Fran's T70. I had a matchbox T70 when I was a kid and it was one of my favorite cars to play with. Memories...

One day, I'd love to have something like this... Powered by a big Merc V12 or something like that.

But, modernized like this: (And yes, I've posted these before...)

Once again - Superlite is on the path to designing another good lookin scooter. Much nicer than "the other guys" attempt at a similar product.

One request from the 'old school camp' - lean that windscreen back another 15 degrees, she'll look even faster sitting still.

That is one serious splitter, watch those ankles!

Fran, do you ever sleep? Looks amazing as usual.

I'm shocked nobody has asked if it can be run on the street ;) people are starting to learn
