Superlite Aero

When I was at the factory they were working hard on the getting the plug ready. Below is a picture of some of the suspension pieces. Note that they are hard coat anodized... I think Fran plans on making that standard on the Aero (as it has no options). I also know that they have built a couple of the Katech engines... lots of details to come when new site launches...

Looking great!

Did Katech name a specific engine life hour target? Based on the output I was thinking it might go for several race seasons before needing a refresh.

John,

Katech have basically said the same as you surmised ....

We don't expect anything other than oil changes to be necessary for the foreseeable future.

With the great Dailey integrated billet dry sump oil system and the restricted power and rpm used in he spec package I am expecting multiple seasons for our engine programme.

Hey Mr. Fran Hall, any updates on the Aero? Track test results, photos, specs just anything to keep the fire burning !!!! Thanks Sir

NASA is changing the rules for ST1 in 2017...going to a 6:1 weight to power ratio and adding a big penalty to "Sports racers, “Prototypes”, monocoque race cars."

https://nasa-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/document/document/4272/ST_Rules_2017--v11.1--10-31-16.pdf

Section 7.4.2 is the biggest issue with a new penalty:
Chassis: Sports racers, “Prototypes”, monocoque race cars (ST1): -2.0
Sports racers, “Prototypes”, monocoque race cars (ST2): -3.2
Other Non-Production Vehicle (ST1, ST2, ST3 only): -0.4

Few pics to whet the appetite , as you can see Aero production is well under way....chassis underwent a total redesign to accommodate the Graziano transaxle ...also added significantly more side impact protection than other cars in the same genre.
