Audi 01X driveshaft to Ford hub

Hello everyone, I have been reading this wonderful forum for a long time and learning. I am building together with my mechanical friend a GT40 (southerngt) but with an Audi 01x gearbox (I already have all the parts), but I wanted to know where I can buy driveshafts or how I can couple transmissions between the Ford hub and the Audi gearbox (01x) Both exits are lobro driveshafts (bolt on). I would like if anyone knows something about that, it would be a great help (preferably European area).

Thank you!

Hi,

Look at UDO’s brilliant build.

Good luck

Also, I have the Forte Chassis with the SGT Bodywork (GTD), and Windsor 302 mated to an 01x.. I made a slight mod to the lower section of the rear clip given the length of the Audi box. It was minimal modification.

These adapters are steel and measure as follows.
Gearbox side 85mm bolt pitch...102 flange dia.
Axel side 95mm pitch and 108 flange dia.
Located in New Zealand

I’d be interested to see how you mount you 01x gearbox in your sgt chassis. I also have the same set up, gear box is a while off making it into the car atm

We are in the process to attach the gearbox to the chassis.

I'm guessing that it's a bit of a special SGT chassis.
Certainly not the same as mine as this one looks to have been widened at the front end of the engine bay.
Has the area behind the 'horseshoe' also been modified to enable the Audi box to be fitted?

From the dimensions I've got the chassis rails either side of the gearbox are too close to squeeze the gearbox in as the differential case interferes a bit!

It is a special SGT chassis for coyote (coyote chassis order). No modifications have been designed for the audi gearbox. We had to adapt it

We had to slightly modify the chassis in the area where the left lobro is because it touched the chassis. The gearbox mounts will be custom made, we have not done it yet. Of course it is a much easier option to install a ZF box or a Renault gearbox, but I wanted a 6-speed box (from an Diesel Audi, HCF gearbox) since it has adequate gear ratios that fit very well with the torque of the engine.

These are that I have

Did you end up reducing the thickness of the left side beam? As that's what my eyes see.
Looking at Udo's build the beam seems to be unchanged with all modifications being made to the cover.

Yes work eyes are correct. We reinforced the left side of the chassis by installing and welding new plates inside the chassis, in order not to reduce the rigidity of the chassis due to the reduction we made
