Thanks Tom and Fran for the photos and information. Those photos show that I was mistaken about the rear tail section. Although I did know that some of the original 917s ran the smaller tires, I was curious if the RCR 917 was able to fit them, knowing now that they can with the modifications to the rocker panel and tail, I am pleased. I understand the tires were chosen for the colder temperature and also for the fact that this someone elses car (and we would all want different things done to our own car). I just wanted to make sure that the wider wheels were actually possible in theory in this application. Sorry to stir the pot-this car looks amazing! I am very pleased with the photos. Does anyone have any photos of the stock fan shroud (not modified) mounted in a RCR 917?
