A Lot of Fun in a Small Package

On a happier note, it's so blasted hot in Central Florida my normal '40 work in the garage, tinkering with the Formula Vee or the boat are on hold. So my son came by with a gift and this thing is a blast. It's a micro RC helicopter that you can fly around inside the house. It's quite the challenge but that makes it fun.
Some of you may have been doing this kind of thing for years but I've just discovered mini-RC flying and it's great!

I normally get more comments on the Sebring poster (an original) on the wall than my GT40 model collection in addition to the 1:1 in the garage.
I got the poster from a former porn star named Kathy Willets. She and her husband were running a classic Ford parts business from their home in Las Vegas. That was a few years ago though.

Those are fun! I have had the cheaper type but may go for a better version if only someone will purchase one of my THREE GT40 chassis........

For the cost, they provide a lot of entertainment and eye/hand coordination training. First time I bounced one off one of my wifes antique lamps I did get a "tune up"............

Something we can definatly agree on, my wife got me a couple of these last Christmas, great fun.

It definatly take some time to master the control (kind of like patting you head and rubbing your....) but once you get the hang of it its pritty amazing what you can make them do!

Pat, Nice to see you're staying busy. Looks like some fun. I'm sure the Mrs. really appreciates the large "bug" flying around the house. Has she chased after the thing with a fly swatter yet? I'm in full agreement about the heat. Ridiculous. I'm sweating bullets just sitting in a chair out in my garage. I've tried to perform some minor jobs on the 40 but its too brutal. Hope all is well. You going to the Lakeland show in October?
