Is there anybody stupid enough to be PC anymore? We live is a democracy and these wanker PC minorities are dictating the pace and causing stupid laws to be enacted that really just inconvenience the rest of us and cost us tons of money, foisting their stupid lamentable nonsensical reasoning on the rest of us. How many stupid things have you heard of recently which has it's origins in Political Correctness?

Keith, LOL :thumbsup::laugh::laugh:

David we could start a new thread devoted to PC madness. For instance last week an instruction went out to Qld schools and Government departments not to refer to blackboards and whiteboards as such, but call them imagination boards or thought boards. :shout:

What a great idea Pete. As (one of) the most senior non PC guys here, may I possibly suggest you start this new thread and in your honour, may I also suggest we call it "McCluskeyisms" ?

Wouldn't really want to call it "Non PC possibly racist, sizeist, sexist, ageist, follicly, politically or nation (anally) challenged" etc, in case someone thinks it might not be politically correct enough.

Well, fuck me, I've blown it already..... :drunk:

Well David, if you stare at the image long enough, not only do they blink, but beautiful handmaidens come amongst you with fruit and wine, massage your aching members and show you the way to Heaven.

Honestly.. :)

At an older employer, they had a mechanical drafting rule to NOT use the label "REAR VIEW" on the rear view of a drawing. It was to be labeled "BACK VIEW" because some might find the other offensive.

Loved it Keith! PC or not PC! My 2 cents about PC....There is a requirement in many parts of this country that school children must be given a ribbon, prize, donut, or something for finishing dead last so not to feel like dare I say a "loser" er...I mean a non-winner. So where's the drive to better ones self in this new better PC world we live in?

There isn't! Kids these days have no drive to better themselves or to better their community. They also have complete lack of respect for their elders or any authority figures at all.

Now, this being said, I'll clarify a little. Kids in larger schools or larger cities are like this. My daughter goes to a school with 210 children from K-12. Yes, it's really that small. Her 8th grade class is one of the larger ones, at 25 kids. I graduated in Austin, TX with over 500 kids in my graduating class. At the smaller school, and also in small town USA, there seems to be an ingrained respect for ones elders, authority figures, and each other.

Oh, I think I know how that's done... It's called PARENTING!!! It seems to me that parents of these larger schools or cities think that they're supposed to raise the kids till they're at the age where they go to school and then that's all they need to do. The teachers will raise the kids for them.

My mom teaches at a school in Austin and has seen a steady decline in the attitudes of children in the 35 years she's taught. Kids are now pretty much allowed to do whatever they want and the teachers can't do anything to stop their disruptive behavior because it may impair them somehow. When I was a kid, I got a paddling (spanking with a paddle) at school for being disruptive. Hell, I got a paddling for putting my blanket on my head in kindergarten after the teacher told me not to!! Did I grow up to be a menace to society? Nope. Teachers can't do ANYTHING to kids in schools in these larger cities. They can't even send the kids to the principals office!! The principal has to come to the class and talk to the kid. They can't send the kid into the hallway to get them away from the other kids, because you're effectively outcasting the child from the group, and that's just not good for their little sense of belonging. Doesn't matter if the little sh*t is throwing a desk or books or anything.

It's friggin ridiculous!!! At Kelcie's school, if you act up, you get what they call "Spats". Basically a paddling. Same thing. Yes, they still give them and there's not one bit of parental uproar when a kid gets his ass worn out by a teacher for being a little sh*t. LOL Why? Because most small towns are conservative and respectful. They haven't had liberal BS ideals thrown at them saying that their kids are going to be better off if they're babied all their lives. The kids are raised the same way they've always been raised. "Yes, sir." "Yes, ma'am." "No, sir." No, ma'am." "Please." "Thank you." These forgotten phrases are a necessity in small town USA, but forgotten in big cities. There all you get is, "Yeah" "Naw" "Gimme that".

But I digest.... :sad:
