Bending brake lines

When bending brake lines, I've always just put my 4ft breaker bar (since it's fairly thick) into a vise and bent them using the thick part of the handle....i.e., brake line over the fat handle and gently bend it into shape.

It seems to work fairly well for me - no kinked lines unless I get sloppy .... would there be any benefit to buying an actual tubing bender over this method?

It pays to lay out a piece of stiff wire such as an old coat hanger to see where the bends should be. Saves a lot of rebending or straightening. Just have to match the bends. Tight bends around the flare are a bit of a struggle. Especially those around the MC.
