Dave,
Both front and rear? The reason I ask is I'm designing my own chassis which will use C4 Corvette front supension (I have a "fine specimen" of an 86 Vette sitting in my driveway waiting to be dismantled). It looks like (on the CAD display anyway) I won't have enough room for a pedal box. I was planning on using a 15 X 8 BRM-style knock off from PS Engineering on the front. PSE tells me that the max backspace they can provide on that wheel is 4" (including the 3/8" adapter thickness).
DRB advertizes a 59" front track width. The number I've heard for a MkI is 57". I positioned the suspension for a 57" track width and 4" wheel backspace in front. With that placement it looks like my control arm spacing would be 5" narrower than your car (which is about how much additional width I need).
Perhaps one reason you don't see BRM's on a DRB is the challenge of finding an 8" wide wheel of that style with a 5-1/2" backspace. I have a 15 X 8 bolt on Halibrand style wheel from Team III on my FFR Cobra. With a 4-3/8" backspace on that wheel the cast center section extends beyond the step at the drop center by about 1".
Very nice wheels, BTW.
Thanks,
Charlie
