Culombus egg- why nobody tried this here before guys?

how much is the price to paint a gt40?
think if is in the same price range of other cars..unless u are not a painter or have a good friend doing that for u.
Anyway also the best painter isnt able to do this:

335i Coupe M Sport Package in Germany undergoing color conversion by foil / tape - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum - E90Post.com

It seems a wonderful and very easy idea IMHO.
All for nearly 1200 dollars.
wonder the look of a gt40,with a carbon fiber all over the skin, isnt simply wonderful?

why nobody here tried such? (now if u try it..U have to dedicate me the car for the idea eh.. ;))

The stock car boys do this as standard practice. I don't think it will hold up over the long term though. It opens up a bunch of crazy design ideas.

yeaaah...think it is great,I am reading all comments by the bimmers there, all good questions, and seems anyway the adhesive solution is a great ssystem (they talk of an intensive use, so surely less than a gt40)
Is great for finishments as flat black or carbon fiber imo

I asked that of Brian Magee when my car needed a paint job

HE said no just paint it!

But no doubt it could be done - just how much time and effort?

why not possible?Surely it could be a lot cheaper than paint, but maybe gt40 has lines too much curved.
thinking at some nasty livery on my cabrio E36, beacause all this is very near to my modelling work, and when u are bored of it, the car returns exactly in the starting conditions (guys..do u think is nasty to see a BTCC replica livery over a cabrio E36?.. LOL)
For a replica gt40, could be a great idea to drive and show cars with the livery of the originals (and there are a lot)
Its a great idea imho

here is an italian company doing it (from bmw passion forum):
