Driverless Cars WTF

Maybe things are better on the other side of the Pond, but here in the USA most drivers are so incompetent that I welcome some automatization on the highway. As long as they stay in the right ("slow") lane.

I hope the incompetents that are considering to have taken into account all aspects of driving. road construction, changing patterns of traffic, blocked roads, following police instruction, and updates that don't crash the car and or kill someone. "Oops I missed that alley"
FYI Almost all airplanes today can fly themselves to and from the gate without pilots. but still all planes have not one but two people with extensive training to fly them.
NWIA (not while Im alive) will I get in a car like that. I have a problem with computers being cars in the first place.

Welcome to the club.

'Care to 'give a go' at imagining even 1/4th of the scenerios that are possible WHEN (not 'IF') the 'peuters' running one of these cars (or a whole automated highway system) decides to freeze or puke entirely???

'Never seen a 'peuter' or 'peuter' system yet that hasn't at one time or another.

" Multiple Carnage Crash One Update "
will be available online soon...
Of course, depending on whether that crash didn't also wipe out the repeater boxes for your local internet...
