Hi Kevin,

I'd hazard a guess that the old Lotus F1 teams colors (up to 1965ish) British Racing Green and Yellow would be very close if not on the money. Don't have the codes unfortunately...

Cheers
Ian

Thanks Ian, I had been researching Highland Green by Ford. The 1061 ads state dark green metallic but I am struggling find the actual answer.

I've seen the car in person multiple times. It is not metallic. Highland green is very close if not it. Don Roberts was the main mechanic on the car. Used to be with it at all the races. I would call Click enterprises and ask them.

Here are pictures of P/1061 when it was in the Jim Click/Holmes Tuttle showroom. The windshield sticker lists the color as "Glen Green". The green is VERY dark.

Thanks Lee, I agree. Have found the paint codes for the Corvette and the pictures do look close. Need to work on the yellow as well

What a great resource this place is... thanks for the links, photos and paint code suggestions. P1061 is a beautiful car...

I have attempted to reach out to no avail. Not a big surprise and I understand not wanting to respond to random people via internet. Feel good about the color of Glen Green, still working on the yellow color code.

Does anyone know if the gulf type cars and cars built after to gulf specs (e.g. 1061, 1051, etc) had wider front clamshells corresponding to the wider rear clam?

No they didn't. The front bodywork was never widened.

Regards,

Graham.
Hello graham, its been I while. I thought that the front section was widened on the very late cars, certainly on the 68 Gulf cars as they ran wider wheels on the front.

regards,
Simon.

And they ran even wider wheels on the '69 cars but the bodywork was unaltered.

Graham.

The canards on P/1061 appear different to those I’ve seen anywhere else. Does anyone know how many different styles were used on the original series cars?
