How is is supposed to get to the "Occupy Polmont" demonstration if they throw him off the train?
Good thing he's not riding the MARTA in Atlanta. The passengers would kick the crap out him, steal all his stuff and then throw him off the train.

It hit the BBC this morning

No doubt some namby pamby do gooder will see that "the big man" is done for assult and the inspector will be demoted / lose his job

I believe the applause from the other passengers at the end confirms the public view

Ian,

I fear due to the way things are someone will be forced to investigate whether they want to or not. I also suspect if this is the case the United Kingdom's citizens sense of justice will see the right outcome prevail.

And that is why they do not catch the muggers, rapists, murderers thieves etc because some "doo gooder" has insisted they wast their time investigating something like this

And also why there is so much overspend in public purse - got to bee seen to have looked into it

This happened in Scotland.
The Procurator Fiscal will have the final say.
That is a foregone conclusion anyway.
No stupid airhead lawyers involved.

I can remember when we did that in America, now with the whiners and ACLU he'd be a candidate for thr cover of Time ............................

No surprise.

Police have charged a man with assault after an alleged fare-dodger was removed from a train by a passenger.

Mobile phone recordings by a passenger on board the Edinburgh to Perth train on 9 December have been viewed by almost two million people on You Tube.

It shows a man - since dubbed 'Big Man' - throwing a teenager off a train after he argued with a ticket inspector.

British Transport Police said a 35-year-old man from Stirling had been charged with assault.

The man is understood to be Alan Pollock.

Meanwhile the student accused of fare dodging, 19-year-old Sam Main from Falkirk, has also been reported to the procurator fiscal, which decides whether to prosecute alleged crimes in Scotland.

Ah a Great Read,
Never pass up a chance to correct a wrong. It starts with pictures hanging at a tilt and then you go from there. In the US it can be traced back to the "Great Society" and the government taking over one of the two parents responsibility of raising a child. Failure after failure.
Most recently here was a 20 something punk pulling a knife on an armed citizen. Did I mention the punk wasn't all that bright?

Somewhat related although the "victim" of this crime isn't going to be charged with assault:

Robbing Ultimate Fighting Expert Proves To Be Bad Decision « CBS Chicago

It was making the rounds here in Chicago a few weeks ago. The story goes that the "victim" lives in a nearby suburb and came here by way of Romania. Apparently he is 250 lbs and is "former military," with "high-risk training" and experience with "hostage rescue."

I am not going to validate anything around the training comments but the picture of that guys face post robbery attempt is pretty telling.
