But really, what do they want? They are destroying their own areas? They don't look like the type that will put down the guns and pick up shovels and clean up and redevelop what they destroy. Where is the financial gain? The are thieves to steal the monies of the oil produced, they were gaining money from hostages, but thats not working out so well. But what are they buying, guns and ammo and more military stuff. So what are they Anarchists? Lawless psychopaths that just want blood? ...and now international news sources report that ISIS is destroying priceless antiquities in an effort to wipe out the cultural history of the locations which they control...items from millenniums ago such as statues and sculptures and other artwork. They claim it is because they were ordered by their prophet to destroy "false prophets"...

David, I sure hope you're right about getting closer to those buckets of sunshine...more lives and now histories will be lost to these marauders. When will the world get tired of their acts of terror and cultural assassination?

The real name of Jihadi John has been plastered over all the news here. Apparently one of the causes of his radical conversion was being harassed by the MI5. Some of the elders in the various mosques in the area in London from whence he came have agreed with him as well.

Held at an 'art gallery' near London's Euston station, it was one of the most extraordinary and nauseating press conferences of recent times.
It had been convened at 3pm on Thursday by the 'human rights' organisation Cage following the identification of masked killer Jihadi John as the Kuwaiti-born Londoner Mohammed Emwazi.
For three years, the campaign group had been in close contact with and offered support to Emwazi before he left Britain to fight in Syria in 2012.
But rather than express an apology – or even a smidgen of regret – for having failed to turn him away from the path to barbarism, what we witnessed was almost an hour of excuses, accusation and invective against Britain, British society and the British state.
Broadcast live for 52 minutes on the BBC and 58 on Sky News, the men from Cage described Jihadi John as an 'extremely kind' and 'beautiful young man'.
