Ahhh, you've camouflaged the SLC in white to hide it in the snow!? Looks awesome. Those rims are kick ass. i like the tiger stripes in duct tape, will you leave those?

The rims really do look good in black - sorry CCW, this is probably the only time I've found 'base' rims to be better than the upgraded choices

Yet another white car with black wheels. I had to go down into the garage and make sure mine was still there after seeing those pics.

All snuggly for now, out of the cold and snowstorm - probably not a good idea to work when it's -40 outside (garage is ~20ish, brrrrrr)

Studying before you start is a very good plan. Go over the build manual completely and ask all your questions making notes all the way..

Us SLC folk don't get a build manual; well, other than what's in our noggins :laugh:

You may want to wait to torque the suspension bolts until you have everything adjusted for ride height, camber, toe, etc.

RCR ships the cars with the suspension loosely installed for shipping purposes, not as a baseline for driving the car.

Doing it now also means you'll be re-doing it when you need to center the wheels in the wheel openings.

Others build logs, even those not building an SLC, are very useful, as we are normally all solving similar problems.

As Randy suggests, there's nothing wrong with taking your time on your project. You have no "deadlines" to complete it although most of my family, friends and associates ask "when will it be done?". Planning, Researching, etc. are all part of the process that makes it fun. Enjoy!

I really like that white with black wheels, I also see you got the kumho XS tires mounted on there. Those seem to be THE street tire right now. With those tires, I was able to pull enough G's in a 3rd gen fierbird to starve the engine of oil!

Whelp, a year ago today I had to wait another day to get my sl-c delivered as my birthday present.

Today my birthday present is the fun of realizing I finished getting the driver door working, now I have to do the passenger door, ahhhhh!

Oh, plus a water pipe cracked in the basement and I got to spend 4hrs sucking up water and building a dam. Oh well - birthdays always suck

Nah, plumber is fixing it right now. Glad I didn't try to do it - the people who built hte house really glued the pipes together so he can't slide the couplers or anything. Had to go choppy-choppy into the main line.

I hate choppy choppy! Last year I had to bust open an entire wall to acess some copper water pipes that were leaking because of hastily done solder joints! Replaced
6 sheets of sheet rock!
