You can also buy one from a Ford dealer. Just mention what it is for.

Good luck with that - I went to a half-dozen dealerships. Parts dept. doesn't order tools, only service department. Service department won't order tools for customers (I was given several lame duck answers, such as 'sometimes customers change their minds and won't pay for the tool since it takes 2-3weeks to ship'. My response - 'I'll prepay the full amount right now'. Their response - 'no. Go away')

Ended up having one of my friend's cousins who is a mechanic order it for me.

Btw, there's 1 on e-bay right now. Go go go go go. First person who buys it gets it :D

Check with Kent Moore Tools, these are the people who our service department orders tools from.

I manage a parts department and get people coming in for special tools often. We have no way to look up tools as I am sure most parts departments don't.

I'm using the stock Ford GT clutch and pressure plate for now. Ford Motorsports has a racing rebuildable setup for around $3,300.00, maybe later if the stock one fails. The starter comes from Fran, I'll check the part # for you.

I was just wondering how they were doing it with a LS7. I have the AP racing clutch made for Stillen. It was $1900 for the clutch and #350 for the ford flywheel. I am using a supercharged Ford 4.6 from a 2003 mustang. it uses the 8 bolt forged crank the same as the GT engine. the special starter was $ 500 from Ford.
