Well far too long from any progress but house renovations now completed spent the last few days making fuel filler caps as couldn’t bring myself to part with the amount of money they cost for the two of them. So bought some aluminium billet off cuts and a few days on the lathe and cutting and filling and very pleased with the results.
beautiful job congrats
Paul

Well another short stint at home but managed a few days in the garage. I made the frame for mounting the rear clam but ran out of time I have made the parrot beaks but will have to wait to get these all together Next time homeOn the positive side made the gear change mechanism for the gearbox end and adapted an Audi TT gear lever for the cockpit and glad to say the gears change really well going up and down.

I can’t believe it has been so long since I was here, man time flies sorry been far to busy with an old 911 restoration that’s turned into a 100% nut and bolt strip refurb or replace effort at the moment and life and other things car sitting under blankets keeping it warm I have been collecting parts though and I have put a log burner in the garage this winter so might get some time on it soon as the 911 is now back on wheels

Hello Sandy I am building a GT FORTE flat pack chassis and I am about to make the roll bar but it would help if I knew how long the main hoop and the 2 back hoops need to be. Is that something you could measure for me thank you. I understand it may not be exact but I need a starting point thanks in advance.

Thank you so much. Funny thing is I have that same drawing but it doesnt have any of the measurements like yours. I will be following your build I just started mine. I actually bought Darren George's buisness from him so if there is anything you need or I can help with let me know thanks Rich.
