I'm sure that there is no universal definition of a "scratch build". Everyone has his own idea of what that term means. Mine is that you fabricate the chassis & suspension, build the engine & body, and that you do all of the work yourself. Few people do a 100% "scratch-built" project.

Then I’m not building a scratch build.

Haha

Front clamshell mount installed. Doors are just sitting there, but I’m betting they are going to be a bitch to fit.

This needs a lot of body fitting and body work, I guess I’ll need to watch some fiberglass videos.

Here are some more pictures with the front clip attached.

I think I have to sell my project. With Covid and getting a reduction in salary to finding a new job, I have to sell it. I got a new job on a beach where they really don’t have garages due to flooding.

I have a lot of love and sweat into this project, but I just haven’t had the time or money to finish it. Sounds like a common theme.

It’s a Active Power chassis, corvette suspension, 2015 Gen II Coyote engine and a splash mold body.

It needs a transaxle and a lot of fiberglass finish work.

If you read my thread, you can see all that’s gone into it.

Any thoughts as to what I should ask?

regarding the intake manifold, i have wondered if a 5.4 intake plenum could be fitted, you can get adapter plates to allow a Coyote onto a 5.4, so presumably the opposite is also possible.

adapter plate

Steve, so sorry to hear this. I hope things turn around for you, and you are able to keep it. If that’s not possible, good luck with the sale.

Regards Brian

Hi Steve just saw this and feel bad about letting your project go. I want to wish you the best. The person who buys your car is getting a bargain for what they are getting. I just finished my car I purchased from Chris around the same time you got yours and wanted to share pictures with you. Stay safe.

Wow George, that looks amazing. You did a really great job on your build. Well done!!!

I would love to keep my car, but I’m moving to a place where garages are at a premium and even if you have one, it could flood. That’s the bad side, on the good side, I’m moving to the beach!
