Targa NZ

Sorry - nothing to do with GT40s, but a nice piece of footage from the recent Targa NZ. This road is about three hours from me. Can't wait to take the 40 over it when it is finished. Will be a real test of its integrity (and mine....).

Wow --- a nice straight forward stage and a good test for the engine and trans cooling capacity
Where is it in NZud and what altitudes ?

Queenstown to Wanaka in the South Island, highest point is up around 1000 meters amsl. Most of the hairpins are at Queenstown end, been a few years since Ive been over [~2000 IIRC] and it was not sealed all the way then like it is now. Targa is in SI again in 2016 if current talk is correct, so start planning now Chris, or you could sneak over for Highlands at easter- fly B-bane/Queenstown direct, just don't tell the rental car co that your checking out the Targa stage!

hi Chris Queenstown to Wanaka, just a bit further south than ole mate Jac, not sure on altitude, but it gets bloody cold in winter. lol
