Think with your feet.

How is it possible for footballer Wayne Rooney to have a weekly wage of £300,000. $499320.00 ? On top of this there will be endorsements etc .Thats not bad for a guy that can barely string a sentence together, does it represent value for money or is this just the ridiculous ???? To put this in perspective it will take a labourer in this country 12 years to earn what Rooney earns in a week.

DeCaprio reportedly makes $77 mil per movie...sooooo...if 'true...which is more ridiculous? And yet everyone just seems to OOOOH and AAAAAAH about actors' salaries. Why is that? (About the least any "well known" actor makes is reportedly around $20 mil.)

Which is the more ridiculous then; Rooney's pay or actors'? The latter are paid to pretend to do something!

While the morons that love the game, or the going to the movies, are willing to pay ridiculous amounts for tickets, shirts, subscription tv services etc etc, from their supposedly meagre pay packets, then there will be the money available to pay these thicko's these offensive amounts of money. Blame not the Rooney's, the DeCaprio's, or the Beckham's of this world. Blame the prats that buy their wares and pay their prices.

Going to the cinema in the UK is outrageously expensive. Yet fools still turn up and drop £20+ Per person, to see a film, eat popcorn and drink a watery Coke.

To make profit become the servant of many. Rooney and actors, baseball players, golfers
Etc. give pleasure to huge audiences world wide. Those in suits who employ them know their value. I don't begrudge their earnings at all

Although I agree Mark, if people jacked up at paying the stupid prices to see them, their salaries would drop or cease quick smart.

To a football game in America (family of 4) about $500 for 1 game. In their own suite at the game between $25,000 - $500,000 what teams are playing. If you don't pay it you don't go.

Supply and Demand - Basic economics. Not that I like Leo or Rooney or Le-Bron, or Brady, there is only one of them. And to watch them you have to cough up for it.

Well you don't have to watch them, which I think the title of this thread implies.
I guess poor folk don't go to the football.
