Hi Brian

the gearbox was pulled from Ege Fergason's car by Ege and his brothers.
The needle roller pilot bearing had failed possibly nipped on installation, Three days to extract the pilot bearing and then after re installation could not get the engine to run correctly, so went home on a trailer.

I believe the lucky lady's name is Christine Beattie from Coalville, Leicestershire. A lorry driver for Aggregates Ltd.?
She didn't appear to be giving it any 'stick' on her first drive around the lorry yard!
She didn't look particularly impressed all together really, but perhaps the selected TV shots could have been better.

 

It looked like she and her partner were having trouble squeezing themselves in and looking a bit daunted.
From the brief shots we saw the shut lines looked at bit weird, as if the rear deck wasn't closed properly.

Brian have you signed her up to the club yet??
