I would suggest checking this thread out..
The color of Tom's car was absolutely stunning to say the least.
It is not a typical GT40 color. It's bold and brash just like the GT40 was when it first took to the tracks.

Hi Andy,

As you are building to 65/66 spec I don't personally feel that Gulf colours would be appropriate. There are a few cars already in Gulf colours too.......( including a MK2 bodied one that the selling dealer describes as a spot on replica !! )

I believe you intend racing your car & therefore you may want to consider the ease of future body repairs. Hopefully none required! but if you want an easy time you could consider a solid colour rather than metallic.
