RCR's Next car should be.....

Seems I need to make some clarification about the new Superlitecar GTA as there is some confusion between it and the D type we are bringing to market....

The GTA pricing which will be a complete body package and lighting package, all chassis, suspension components, rad, fuel tank, shocks and brakes is targeted at $19995....so sub 20k...this car has electric production windows, HVAC system,Electric mirrors etc and be everyday drivable...

The D type target price is sub 30k...all body panels, suspension, chassis , brakes, rad, fuel tank, gauges, pedals, brake lines...etc..etc ...

Hope this helps the guys that are just scan reading and not really catching that there are two cars being discussed....

Thats the working name.....still playing with the production name..

Doesn't matter what the cabin is as you will want one , even if it used a Skoda or Lada ....when you see the final design you will be calling.....trust me...

I'm not a badge snob, always fancied a Skoda Fabia (or Octavia!) VRS when they first came out!

I'm just wrapping my brain as to what cabin would fit your plans and design (and also what car I should be buying to later use as a donor ;) ).

Once I'm States side (Sunday!) and found a place to live, I'll be booking a weekend over your way for a factory visit!

I was thinking Skoda Estelle......or Rapide....not the front wheel drive ones....

Why are you coming on a weekend....we are closed on Saturday and Sunday....

This is pretty cool

Very few older cars tickle my fancy and you know what the UK is like, pretty much everything here is FWD with the exception of BMW's.

Good point about the weekend.... I haven't thought that one through.... Trust me, I'll find a way and Molleur it has always been the plan, just needed to be in the right place (not just talking geographically), that time has come!

To be honest I actually want to go to see the SL-C in person still! The GTA is a bonus! I know you guys (and lady! How is ArtGirl?) have always said it's even better looking in person, I just need to see it for myself.

But Fran lol, if I wanted practical I buy a Volvo stationwagon LMAO.
Haaaaay but it would be really cool if you built it from a turbo'd Hayabusa GSX1300R conversion !

From what I saw and heard during my visit the GTA - or whatever Fran decides to call it - will blow people away. It will have aspects to it that no other kit/component car has been able to provide - production car interior (leather too), power windows, OEM door and window seals (no leaks!), power mirrors, OEM dash, etc, - AND RCR's specifically designed suspension. The drive train will also have huge potential at relatively low cost - especially the gearbox. Personally, I can't wait to see the "production" version!.....but then there's the D-Type too......

Any word on how long we'll have to wait until a production car will be on display?

Fran needs to concentrate first on the D Type. Then the GTA. One big project at a time. Can't have any distractions. Focus.
