Thanks for sharing. I am planning to also build my own GT 40 from the ground up and plan to build a monocoque chassis as well. I will be following your progress and hopefully learn some valuable lessons.

2144-Panel Closing Rear Spare Wheel Recess. So far this is the only panel I have used the bead roller on , tipping die to make the lower flange and the shrinker stretcher to curve the panel.

Looks outstanding. FYI fitting the doors and the windshield are very difficult. It might be nice to have a Windshield Jig if you don't already and the fiberglass on hand

Whats the plan with the other components? Powertrain and bodywork etc?

Sometime before the panels are welded together I'd like to lay them all out in somewhat proper position for photos. All this work takes longer than most people think, especially the first part to be made. Researching every panel looking for the perfect angle to see every detail.

Other components, I'll be making all that I can. I want to run a mild FE, transaxle not sure yet. As for body work it maybe a mix of fiberglass and aluminum.

It is a long project, I suspect 12000 to 15000 hours in all ( research, making hammer forms, jigs, building and so on ).
