An Australian S.A.S soldier has been awarded the Victoria Cross, Australia's highest award for valour while serving in Afghanistan.

I'm also really pleased to see the report refers to the VC being awarded, rather than "won".

"Every single one of our soldiers that are there serving for the nation are heroes," he said.

We are so grateful to all of the soldiers who have served. I don't think there is anyway we can thank them enough.

Having served in Nam ive seen many a soldier put his body on the line for others, one did for me , the only reason i'm still here, they all deserve the utmost respect and admaration, he's right their all bloody heros

Same here. heroes all of them.
Makes my blood boil when bloody footballers are described as "heroes". NONE of them are fit to lick these guy's boots, yet they are paid millions and admired by millions, crazy world!
