Paolo,
25 years ago doctor said to me "your health inspection for driving licence is ok, except that you`ll get one term in licence: must use automatic `couse your bad left leg", and i said "hell, no way". After 10 min discussion i asked him outside, and showed with my Capri 3000GT that i can press clutch pedal. He said "ok ok, please let me out, now!" No terms....
I`ve never used automatic in my personal or family use. And rallying (and racing) over 20 y now; always with manual, with triple plate clutches too.
Can i live?
But as i wrote, i`m afraid engine torque (charged) will smash budget `boxes, and if i understud right, even ZF is not bombproof solution. Only expensive to replace.
One way is put UN1-base straight cut bogbox (make by local -true- specialist). But how much rest of transaxle will bear, meaning pinion and ring gear etc?
