Hi Guys,
Yes - I've not been spending much time on the forums as of late as I've been a bit on the busy side.
We've been working feverishly on renovating our 94 year old house in South Minneapolis. Like many old rust-bucket cars I've worked on, many times I thought it needed a stick of dynamite more than it needed anything else..
Well - during all this mess - the crime in my area has gone up substantially. Minneapolis is once again being hailed as Murderapolis and what was once a beautiful city with friendly people has been taken over by people that have no interest in becoming citizens, but would rather rob you or worse. You can stand out on my back steps on a Friday or Saturday night and hear the pop. pop. pop-pop-pop. And maybe 15 minutes later you hear the sirens wailing...
My neighborhood is actually still pretty nice and well cared for - but the cockroaches of the human race are gaining ground fast and are only a mile or so away.
So - it was time. We're still not done with the renovation of the old house, but bought a new (well newer) house with a nice sized shop in the back yard. I've a bit over 5/8 of an acre of lawn for the wife to mow now and one heckuva long driveway.
Pictures;
It's a custom built home that was done in 2003. Very very nice all the way around and my wife's dream house...
See what's peeking from around back?
okay - so it's not HUGE like some of the Garage-ma-halls I've seen around here but it's bigger and better than what I have today and should be big enough / tall enough for a lift. It has 11' ceilings and is totally finished. 32x32
I plan on paving with blacktop the 150' driveway so it will be easier to plow out in the winter. With the 3 car attached garage, my wife will be able to park her car indoors for the first time in 35 years we've been married.
The house is in a little town about an hour south of the Twin Cities called Kenyon.
So I just thought I would share this with you guys in case you were wondering where I'd gotten off to....
