BMW V12 E32 Engine Dimensions

The M70b50 uses 3 ECU's. Each bank is treated as a separate 2.5 I6 with the 3rd ECU managing the FBW throttle and 'load sharing' between banks.
Please be aware that the electronc butterflys are a known failure part and are VERY expensive, C.500GBP each from BMW and they are a special order part from Germany. Ive broken 2 750iL's and both engines sold very quickly!!
Considering they were only fitted to 750 and 850 model BMW's they are quite rare, with only the 850CSi having a manual 6spd 'box - these are worth 2k+ on there own!!!
They also like they petrol!! Best I ever managed in my 750 was 9.7mpg :0 but with 300bhp and 330lbft they still go well for 3 tonne :)

I have got all the tech data somewhere for these engines, I was going to put it in an E30.
I'll post when Ive found it.

HTH, Ben

Now Im not too sure about how Im thinking here, but I recall somewhere I saw a guy using the BMW V12 and he put some chevy 6-cylinder distrubuters on the cam ends, not too sure what he did for carbys. There is a guy here in my town who has a Jaguar V12 XJS with 3 x 390 holleys and a custom manifold - looks good.

I know a lad who has a sleeved down 2L version of this engine, I'll as him what he's running for ignition when I'm in France at the end of the month.
