Dino replica Copped in Italy -Genova

As some of u wellknow, it is absolutely impossible to own a ferrari replica (including the stunning ones done in Uk..)down here in Pizzaland.
This morning news report about the stop in Genova of an incredibly nice Dino replica ready to be shipped from Genova (one of the main departure/arrival ship port in Italy) for materials to US.

As usual the comment was irritant and offensive (they said was an ugly fake, nearly chinese made...with ugly interiors).
The car was stopped, the customer office arrested all and in those moments they are persecuting the shipping company from Milano.

I really dunno the destiny of this beauty,but seems nobody here look at auction where ALSO replicas reach incredibly high value.

So sad for me anyway...this is another ticket to pay to have ferrari here.
Sigh....
Just hope when it will be my moment Ford Italy will not ask for me in jail (I made a little talk to theme when the Mustang was announced..and holy god...seems to talk to dumb people..).

Agreed.. but couldn't the stupid sods have left the Ferrari trademarks off just a little while longer?

There are obvious trade mark and copyright issues when copying anything.
Ferrari seems to be one of the few that has an issue with this to my knowledge.
Porsche,Ford,Mclaren and others do not seem to pursue it.
I am thinking about building a 1966 Ferrari but this issue nags me.

What is the story.
How do you deal with this Fran or has the issue not arisen yet.

Jim IMHO I dont think you will have a problem in Australia, but I wouldn't take your replica F car to Italy.
