Fat Larry's GTR Build

Ok the rear bumper is fitted and mounted I fabricated a galvanized support frame to mount the rear bumper so now it's on to the Heat and AC system

Dearborne Perfformance has a bunch of authentic GT 40 parts just go on the Internet and plug in the name also if you go on eBay and plug in the name there are deals on the site
 
Finally got my coolant tubes welded and back in place just need to order a few more clamps I also started mounting the Ac system and running the lines starting to gain a little headway

I was able to get in the garage today so I mounted my trans cooler and ran the lines and also completed my clutch line to the trans also working on completing the AC Lines

Installed the defroster vents today and will finish with machined alum defroster vents on top of the dash

Spent today running my AC lines thru the frame and to the compressor and condenser tomorrow I will finish crimping all the lines and that will put the Heating and Cooling System 90 % complete

Here is the start of the gas fill install, I started with a factory gas fill door machined an alum mounting ring along with a 1/8 steel plate for the gas neck. I fiberglassed in the alum mounting ring this morning so once dry I will finish the install

Gas filler almost complete just need to reset the front end back on the car and tie it in

Ok so the gas fill is almost done just need a 2inch 45 degree elbow the ac is almost complete one more piece of # 8 line and we are done I made my own connections to the stock AC compressor I also started to just see if I could adapt a 2016 Mustang Center Console to the car I need to play with it for a while but I think it will work nicely

Ok fuel system done AC system in all lines complete now just need to put weld In some bungs for the O2 Sensors on the exhaust then order tips wrap and exhaust will be done

Ok so this weekends mission was the roll bar and cleaning priming and repositioning to get it to fit better to the front aprons. Once the paint is dry we will reinstall

Well I hope all of my fellow builders and their families are well during these crazy times. I had my own issue with having to get my gallbladder removed last Thursday morning not where I wanted to be but you can’t stop life now I need to recovery and jump back on the build

Larry, I had the same problem last year. The VA hospital surgeon operated using the laperoscopy technique and the operation went well. I hope yours turned out OK as well. It does take some time to heal but since everyone is staying home these days, you are not missing much.
