Jason's Coyote Powered RCR40 Downunder

Your car Jason? Sounds different than most. 180 exhaust?

Yes, looks like the "Car's N Coffee" meet held at Sandown race track from the other month - mid September, the "Fire Orange" M3 in front and the blue M3 behind Jason's car are supporting southern BM stickers which was the event sponsor. this is leaving the car park just out the back of the grand stands if your looking for it on google earth.

Jason's car had a crowd of people around it the whole time, parked on one side was I think a Ferrari 512TR? and the other side was a McLaren 650c? not sure on numbers, but most people were looking at Jason's car and ignoring the others next to it!

When I saw it, there was a maroon Ferrari 360 next to it. I kept looking at it's engine, and Jason's GT40 body shape... ;)

Thats a great video, wish it was a little longer. Its hard to wring it out in 1st without breaking traction and bouncing on the limiter. Its fun to see the car moving from the outside.

Also MHNCO How do you link a youtube video like that on the forum, mine just showed the URL.

446? I see up to 426?

On YouTube click the share button then select embed and copy the text of the link that you then paste in the post.

Placed a video of my GT40 on YouTube, mostly for the sound. Enjoy.

Jason, I think you need to remove the "S" from the "HTTPS" at the start of the link. the S designates secure and as part of the protocol sets up some specific events at the TCP/IP level. removing the S allows anyone to see the stream. At least that normally works on a few other forums I use.

(EDIT - I tried, no luck this time)

Guys, did you read what I explained above? :)

Look right under the video. There is a link that says "share". Click it. It will expand a new section underneath that will then have another link "embed". Click it. You will then see an HTML iframe link that you can copy and paste in here. If you can't figure it out ask your pre-teen daughters who will undoubtedly not have the same technical deficits that we have as adults :)

The link will look like this with a few additional characters on each end...

iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/yHZ-8tKfMFU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Ah, you have to select embed in youtube and select the link! Thanks.

Only joking. The paint was not as durable as it needed to be. The old paint was removed down to primer and it is being fully repainted inside and out in top quality PPG paint. It is being done in exactly the same color scheme as before.

All the panels come off the car. It was PPG basecoat but not applied correctly to PPG specs by the original painter. That painter has not stepped up to correct his mistakes and I am getting a new painter to do it. I am not happy but there is nothing I can do. This time I am using the top of the range PPG clear over base product. The support from PPG Australia in getting the car right this time has been first class, I'm very appreciative of the help they have given as the issue is not a paint problem, it was an application issue. I cannot wait to see the new paint in a few weeks.

Your car will be one of the most beautiful RCR cars...
Can you tell us what the painter did wrong so that others can avoid that pitfall?
