for the automotively-stupid among us, isn't that the point of the transaxle adapter plate? To bolt the two thingies together and make sure everything is spaced properly so spinning things don't go poking where they don't belong? :huh:
 
Adapter plate thickness is what we are thinking. A solution will be to set the pilot bearing deeper in the crank shaft. Sad that it only needs and extra .005 ...
Once it's all back apart and on the floor I'll be measuring EVERY THING.
 
Sorry to hear Bob. I have had similar things happen with motors popping with in 5 minutes to someone hitting me on my first drive after 1.5 years of strictly body work and paint. Hopefully you can get away with just fresh bearings. Cylinders may still be fresh enough to just rering and no rehone, if you even need to take the pistons out.

Well guys it set back the build almost a full year ... But I'm back at it !
Engine has been repaired, and improved. A little more boost, better oil system, complete valve train up grade.

ok .... You can see from the number ... 783HP on a mild tune they said ...
NOW I will be looking at the axles, and clutch .... OOOppppss :stunned:

Guys at the dyno said as rings seat, and we do the final tune in the car ................

Yes ! 800 HP !! :thumbsup:

I have no excuse for my decisions I told my wife ... LOL :stupid:
 
Nice chassis build up to this point, some cool brackets and bits in there.
Does the blower fit under the back glass? (sorry if you answered this earlier)
