Need opinion on damaged GT40 on Ebay

I know this car may not be for you all but I have been looking for a newer GT40 that has been repaired or in need of repair, I do not have the funds to purchase new.
This GT is on Ebay #260358818217(4 hour drive from my home) and looks like its a mess? Any input would be great, Thanks!

Hey Scott, it's incorrectly described as a "GT40" - it is a Ford GT - there's a lot of difference! :)

Has taken a hefty hit in the side so definitely the chassis should be checked for straightness. If it's out of whack - could be serious money to straighten even if it were possible. Monocoques/unibodies are notoriously difficult and costly to repair.

Thanks Kieth! Yes it looks like a bad hit...if you get a chance let me know what you think of the Superformance also on Ebay #220357788251

is it just me - but i luuuurrrve the options.....

"Car has ALL 4 options : Stripes, Wheels, Red Calipers and Stereo."

that does it;) - gotta go for that one - any car with stripes, wheels and red calipers has got to be a must-have!

That is a nice car - no question with many of the "right" bits on it  except for the horrible shiny ali dash and the boy racer number decals.

Rob car is very nice. I like the aluminum dash. It clearly took a lot of time to make and I think it looks cool. I think the numbers are a must for a gulf car replica. It's a replica of a race car, they have numbers!

Scott, I live pretty close. If you are serious about the ford GT I could look at it before the auction ends.

Dean, Thomas......thanks for the kind words gents.

Keith,
The livery decals are static, so you can have the "boy racer" look for track days, and a bit more mild mannered "clean" look for the runs to the country club. Got it covered both ways. Regarding the dash.....personal preference, can't please em all. However, it is an aspect of the car can than be changed in a manner of a few hours with the removal of a handful of screws if a prospective owners dislikes it.

I'm not a fan of the shiny dash panels either but likle Rob stated, that could be changed in VERY short order. I LOVE everything else about the car though!
Not sure what you mean about the # decals. In the pictures in the auction ,the car has no # decals on it....

I've also seen Rob's RCR-40 in the flesh and the quality is a credit to him. The level of detail is simply amazing.

Actually I would love to bring it to Australia as it would be fantastic to have a RCR-40 of that quality here in Australia. But unfortunately I don't have the money available at the moment to do it myself.
