New GT40 sighting in Los Angles, CA

In the area I work and live (West LA) on the 6th and Fairfax I see alot of times new cars beeing test drove. But usually they are all covered with bra's. Today I saw new GT40 on the 6th driving only the back was covered. Also had side camera and rear camera attached.

Last month I saw the NEW mustang prototype. Also looked awesome.
But GT40 blew me away. Although it wasnt as loud as I thought it would be. ( the exhaust that is.)

 

WOW - I've never seen a GT40 in LA. I'm taking delivery of one next week and was interested in finding out if there were any other owners in the area - there's only one that I know,, and they're not too interested in sharing, it seems. Sounds like the ones you saw are test cars for the new Ford GT, not the replicas currently available. I'll keep my eyes open - I drive that area every day. If you know of any other owners, please let me know - thanks.

 

Sure will. Actually I just saw it again a few days ago.
Same car. Almost every day around 10am - 11am there are cars driving on 6th all covered up. Yea it was a test car. I even tried to catch up and take a picture. Ill try to find out where it parks. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Keep your eyes peeled and take a camera.
A couple weeks ago I was in a circle K and there was a car in there that had all this weird looking stuff all over the car. It was like a front bra but it was all over the thing. I finally looked at it up close and determined it was the new Mustang retro design. The front snoot looked just like a 67 Mustang. The fast back was the give away.
I also have a good friend that works for Ford and he's been there for 32 yrs. He says that Carrol Shelby has been hanging around there for weeks and the roomer has it that they are gonna built Mustangs and call them Shelby's.
Makes good sense to me, cause I'll buiy one in a New York minute if they do.

There was some kind of official announcement during the historic car weekend in Monterey that Shelby is back with Ford. The rumor I heard (from a normally reliable source) is that they are going to be building a new (retro) version of the Cobra /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

AC have just also announced that they are close to signing up with Shelby to work closer together.

There is an older white GTD GT40 running around. It has RH drive. It used to belong to a friend of mine, but he sold it last year.
